So as some of you might know, I live in Utah now and I've been suffering through the terrible forced addiction that is... sobriety. But no more!! I got all my equipment and then some to start homebrewing for $80!!
Plus some other extra crap.
Are there any other brewers here on oppo?

my brother brews and I help occasionally. Quite a few great home brew stores in salt lake and of course some fantastic breweries

Mind dropping your equip purchase list? Homebrewing is something I've been tossing around and I'm curious to see what you're starting with.

Well since I got used stuff I ended up with kind of a weird assortment, but this is what I got:
1 6.5 gal Glass Carboy
2 6.5 gal buckets
2 big pots
3 bottle cappers (1's a bench one, so FANCY!)
Hydrometer, siphon thing, bottling cane, airlock and a book I already had haha.
Obviously I got some extra crap than I wanted (didn't really want 3 bottle cappers), but hey it cost less than the usual 5 gallon starter kits.

For the uneeducatd, what are you going to brew? It is just semantics, because English is not my first language. Brewing beer and destiling alcohol?
